A rare and fine Breitling Cosmonaute Chronograph, reference 809.
Gold filled, snap back case, stainless steel back, 41.5mm diameter, faceted downturned lugs. Case has some signs of wear and maintains the original patina.
Original gloss black reverse-panda 24h dial with luminous arabic numerals and batons. Gilt print "Breitling Geneve" with double plane logo below 12 o'clock. Gilt print "Cosmonaute" above 6 o'clock. White chronograph sub-dials at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock. In excellent condition.
Rotating inner ring with orange "boxed 10", milled-edge bezel.
Original gold toned sword hands with patinated luminous infill.
Original signed gold plated crown. Original gold plated chronograph pushers.
Breitling signed Venus 178 manual winding movement, serviced and in running order.
Brand new Swedish leather band with chrome buckle.
Accompanied by an original "How to use a chronograph booklet" by Breitling.
