Longines Calatrava ref. 5866 in 14k rose gold
A rare and fine Longines Calatrava, reference 5866.
Solid 14k rose gold thin snap back case, 34mm diameter, with stepped lugs and Geneva Squirrel hallmark to edge. Case has some gentle signs of past polishing.
Original two-tone gold and copper sector dial with applied gold roman numeral indexes to quarters, batons inbetween, in very good condition. Printed "Longines" logo below 12 o'clock. Sub-seconds dial above 6 o'clock.
Original blued-steel sword hands.
Original unsigned gold plated crown.
Longines Caliber 26M manual winding movement, 17j, serviced and in running order.
Brand New Swedish Leather band with gold plated buckle.
Accompanied by Longines "Extract From The Archives", confirming delivery to the Longines-Wittenauer Watch Co, which at that time was the Longines agent in the USA.
