Gruen Precision Chronograph, ref. 770CA, in stainless steel

A rare and fine Gruen Precision Chronograph, reference 770CA.
 
Stainless steel case, screw back, 37mm wide, faceted downturned lugs. 
Case appears to maintain the original factory finish.
 
Original white panda dial with applied silver batons, in excellent condition.
Black print "Gruen Precision" below 12 o'clock and "Chronograph 17 Jewels" print above 6 o'clock.
Black and Fuscia chronograph sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock.
Date window at 6 o'clock.
Black fixed inner bezel with white print tachymeter scale and red print telemeter scale.
 
Original black tone stick hands with luminous infill.
 
Original steel crown. Original steel chronograph pushers.
 
Gruen signed Valjoux 7734 manual winding movement with chronographh function, unserviced and in good running order.
 
Brand new leather band with chrome buckle.
