A rare and fine Longines calatrava, reference 5695 (23319).
Stainless steel, snap back case, 35mm diameter, downturned 'deco' lugs.
Case appears to maintain the original factory polish. Case back is slightly loose. Top right lug has been restored.
Original silver dial, painted black arabic numerals and indicies, in satisfactory condition.
Printed "Longines" below 12 o'clock. Recessed sub-seconds dial above 6 o'clock.
Original blued steel leaf hands.
Original unsigned Longines crown.
Longines Caliber 27M manual winding movement, in running order.
Brand new leather strap with steel buckle.
Longines "Extract from the Archives" confirms delivery of the watch to the Longines agent Akar in Lebanon, on 28 April 1947.
